A Few More Snapshots

The Ceildh (pronounced "Kay Lee") is very difficult to photograph, but lots of fun.

We signed out a rehearsal room and ran a pick-up rehearsal since we haven't done that since July 31. July was about three months ago, right? Everything's pretty intense here, and a day feels like a week. The run was great, and we got a few kids interested in coming to see our show as soon as they saw our corsets.

We had a peaceful respite at the Assembly Gardens.

Leo and Brooke are having lots of opinions about their shared dance.

The world's largest marionettes were a big hit, but the whimsy of the Polish Circus has proved divissive--half the group enjoyed the trippy atmosphere of childlike wonder; the other half thought it was mannered and silly. Tim and Meg did manage to convince some of your children that we never saw Charlie the Elephant yesterday when we went to that circus because he was "broken." Our ruse was based on a plot point in the show--that there will be no elephant today, until with the help of a child in the audience and the power of belief in possibilty, the Elephant is revived. Severa kids reported proudly back that THEY had seen the elephant, which had been repaired. Others either figured out how story-telling works, or know that they are led by tricksters.

This is just a cute picture from our wonderful train ride to Edinburgh!
